چکیده

The novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, has spread into a pandemic since its emergence in Wuhan, China December of 2019. This been facilitated by high transmissibility within the human population and ability to remain viable on inanimate surfaces for an extended period. To address latter, we examined effect simulated sunlight viability SARS-CoV-2 spiked tissue culture medium or mucus. study revealed that inactivation took 37 minutes 107 These times-to-inactivation were unexpected they are longer than have observed other studies. From this work, demonstrate represents effective decontamination method but speed is variable based underlying matrix. information important impact development infection prevention control protocols reduce deadly pathogen.

A Review of the Mechanisms Involved in the Immunopathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2

Coronaviruses belong to the Coronaviridae family and three SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 pathogens are found in this family, all of which cause respiratory disorders in human beings. SARS-CoV-2 is a RNA virus of approximately 80-160 nm in size and genomic size of approximately 27-35 kb which causes COVID-19. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, dry cough, fatigue and muscle weakness, shortne...

Stability of SARS-CoV-2 in Different Environments and the Effect of Disinfectants on its Survival

In December 2019, the prevalence of a pneumonia with unknown cause was reported in China which was later named Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2. One of the most important ways of COVID-19 transmission is contaminated surfaces. In this review study, we investigated the stability of SARS-CoV-2 in air and on surfaces and the methods of preventing its spread R...

SARS-COV-2 Virus; Immune Responses and The Immunopathogenesis

Abstract Background and Objectives Clinical features of SARS-COV-2 virus include fever, headache, cough, sore throat, and shortness of breath, and in severe forms it leads to disseminated intravascular coagulation, septic shock, and ultimately death. Excessive secretion of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1 leads to cytokine storms in this disease. The emergence of new va...
